Transcript A transcript of the document.  <div style="text-align:left;font-weight:bold;"> ROYAL PROCLAMATIONS PROPOSAL FOR A REVISED PROCEDURE </div>  <ol style="margin-left:1.5em;"> <li style="margin-bottom:0.8em;">The SALES DIRECTOR (in his capacity as Secretary to the Royal Mint Advisory Committee) formally advises the Board Secretary when Royal Approval has been granted for a new coin, a new design for an existing coin, a new specification etc.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.8em;">The BOARD SECRETARY will approach the Marketing Director to establish which versions of the coin will be issued. (It is vital at this point that all known versions are covered in order to avoid a recurrence of this year’s problem.)</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.8em;">The BOARD SECRETARY will be responsible for drafting the Proclamation, liaising with the Curator for the formal, heraldic description of the coin and the Assistant Director, Scientific Services for the technical details.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0.8em;">The BOARD SECRETARY will send the draft Proclamation to Treasury, for approval by the TREASURY SOLICITOR. When approved, TREASURY will issue the draft to PRIVY COUNCIL for the Council’s next scheduled meeting. (A minimum period of notice of one week is required for Privy Council). In the event that the TREASURY SOLICITOR needs to amend any part of the draft Proclamation, the revised draft should be agreed with ROYAL MINT OFFICIALS before it is sent to PRIVY COUNCIL.</li> <li>The above procedure will also apply to Proclamations relating to demonetisation of coins, although in such instances the initiator would be the Board Secretary and not the Sales Director.</li> </ol>  <div class="signature" style="margin-top:2em;"> (Sgd.)
