BY THE GRACE OF GOD OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND AND OF OUR OTHER REALMS AND TERRITORIES QUEEN, HEAD OF THE COMMONWEALTH, DEFENDER OF THE FAITH:

to all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting!

WHEREAS We are desirous that a mark of Our Royal Grace and Favour should be conferred upon the Professorship of Engineering at The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in recognition of outstanding teaching and research to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Our Reign;

AND WHEREAS it has been represented to Us by Our Secretary of State that there be a Professorship of Engineering at The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine amongst a number of Professorships, upon whom Our Royal Grace and Favour shall be conferred;

NOW KNOW YE that We for divers good causes and considerations and by Our especial grace, certain knowledge and mere motion do hereby for Ourselves, Our heirs and successors give and grant unto the Office or Place of Professor of Engineering at The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine a mark of Our Royal Grace and Favour;

AND it is Our Will and Pleasure therefore that the said Office or Place of Professor of Engineering at The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine shall hereafter be known during Our Pleasure and that of Our heirs and successors by the style and title of Regius Professor of Engineering at The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine.

Document is highly ornamented. Full color Royal Arms painted at the top. Royal name begins with a large ornamental initial embellished with gold leaf. The rest of the name is in blue capital letters adorned with gold interpuncts. Royal titles are entirely capitalized. The rest of the document is written in italic calligraphy.

"Imperial College London" and the university's coat of arms are at the bottom.

The eschatocol is capitalized with red interpuncts between words.

This Regius Professorship was created as part of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

The Secretary of State is referred to as "Our Secretary of State" rather than the more traditional "one of Our Principal Secretaries of State".
