Dear Mr McElduff
The Chancellor of the Exchequer is aware of your letter of 15 January 2018 putting forward your resignation as Member of Parliament for the constituency of West Tyrone. Consistent with the procedures set out in Erskine May, the Chancellor has this day therefore appointed you to be Steward and Bailiff of the Three Hundreds of Chiltern.
Your appointment continues until determined by a subsequent appointment to this Stewardship. The Chancellor of the Exchequer asks me to advise you that if you should decide during your tenure of the Stewardship to put forward your name for nomination as a candidate for election to serve in Parliament, you should inform him that you wish to be released from this appointment, in order that you may avoid being disqualified from membership of the House of Commons.
