Whereas Her Majesty by Warrant under Her Royal Signet and Sign Manual bearing date the Twelfth day of May 1953 hath signified unto me that She intends to appoint Moyra Kathleen daughter of James Edward Hamilton Esquire, commonly called Marquess of Hamilton, Captain (retired) the Grenadier Guards, to be one of Her Maids of Honour at Her Royal Coronation to be solemnised upon the 2nd day of June next and it being customary as befitting Her Majesty's Royal Dignity that the persons so appointed to be attendant on Her should not be below the rank of daughters of Earls of the Realm. She hath been graciously pleased in the exercise of Her Royal Prerogative to declare that the said Moyra Kathleen Hamilton shall hold and enjoy the rank and style of the daughter of a Marquess of the Realm for the occasion of Her said Royal Coronation only and hath also signified unto me Her Royal Will and Pleasure that the said Royal Order be observed and kept and that the said Royal Warrant be recorded in the College of Arms. I Bernard Marmaduke Duke of Norfolk, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, Earl Marshal and Hereditary Marshal of England and One of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council do hereby authorise and require you to cause the said Royal Warrant and these Presents to be recorded in the College of Arms accordingly for which this shall be your Warrant.
