Special Features

This document discusses the procedural aspects of Royal Approbation. Afterward, someone has annotated it to show that the various steps were complied with.

It provides a bit of context for the practice of having the Prime Minister and the Lord Chancellor make separate submissions to Queen Elizabeth II. The Prime Minister's is explicitly characterized as being "informal," though what that means in this context is unclear (the Prime Minister's submission was not in the folder, unfortunately).

For another discussion of the procedural aspects of Royal Approbation, see Item 462.
