Sir,

With reference to previous correspondence which you have had with Superintendent Fallon of the Thames Division regarding the personal pennant of H. M.’s Secretary of State for the Home Department, I have to inform you that the Admiralty have now intimated that they have no objection to offer to the use of the pennant by a vessel in waters within their jurisdiction.
In the circumstances, therefore, I am to request that you will be so good as to have the pennant enrolled among your records. A sketch of the pennant is enclosed.
I am, Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
J. Nott-Bower
Deputy Commissioner

M. R. Trappes-Lomax, Esq.
Rouge Dragon Pursuivant,
College of Arms,
Queen Victoria Street,
E. C. 4.
