Special Features

This submissions uses the traditional gendered pronoun for the Lord Chancellor rather than the gender-neutral pronouns used in other contemporary submissions.

Section 2(3) of the Senior Courts Act 1981 states that Ordinary Judges of the Court of Appeal are to be styled Lord/Lady Justice of Appeal.

Unlike other judiciary-related submissions, this one does not submit the candidate's name for the King's approval (cf. submissions for the appointment of High Court Justices). This is likely because the Prime Minister already tendered formal advice for this appointment.
