Royal Warrant - Reappointing a Professional Member of the Judicial Appointments Commission [2021-05-21]

ELIZABETH THE SECOND, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Our other Realms and Territories QUEEN, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, to all to whom these Presents shall come,

WHEREAS by Section 61(1) of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005, it is provided that there shall be a body corporate to be known as the Judicial Appointments Commission;

AND WHEREAS Part 1 of Schedule 12 to the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 (as amended) and the Judicial Appointments Commission Regulations 2013, provide that:

(1) the Commission shall consist of a Chairman and fourteen other Commissioners appointed by Us; and

(2) a Commissioner shall be appointed for a fixed period and such person may not be appointed for more than five years at a time and may not hold office as a Commissioner for periods (whether or not consecutive) totalling more than ten years;

NOW KNOW YE that We, pursuant to the powers vested in Us by the Constitutional Reform Act 2005, as amended, have re-appointed and do by these Presents re-appoint Our Trusty and Well-beloved Brie Stevens-Hoare, as a Professional member of the Judicial Appointments Commission for a further period of three years commencing on and from the 9^th day of April 2021 until and concluding on the 8^th day of April 2024.
